That special door in J-Lab seems to need a special pass to open. Previously, many researchers worked at the Farm Town mine. You might be able to find the pass for that door there. If you find it, bring it back for me to see.

Special Effects Weapon

Fire attributes should be able to cause considerable damage to those storm creatures. The sprayer in Farm Town - that guy who often hangs around the radar station - happens to have a fire-attribute weapon. Get it for me, and I'll see if there's a way to replicate it. During the first 12 hours of 'Disturbance', we can still survive inside for a short time, and Mud seems to have a method to resist it.
